Every March I think to myself: Spring is here, and it’s just the beginning! yippy!
Then I count the spring and summer months: March, April, May, June, July and August. Then September too is usually beautiful. I continue to think: Yay!!! Half a year of sun and longer days! It’s just brighter and lighter, you know what I mean?
But every year is the same, I have barely gotten into March, and then all of a sudden, it’s August. The time runs so quickly! Don’t you think?
So here we are again, August. You are still enjoying the summer, running around barefoot, but you have probably started to think about fall and maybe a few changes you would like to make when the summer season passes and vacations are over.
Or maybe you feel like you would like to change something or start something new, but you don’t know what. You just have this nagging feeling that something has to be done.
Well, here is where I can give you a helpful tip:
Start at the beginning.
And by that, I mean, start at home by having a thorough declutter festival.
You might ask why. Why should you declutter your home? You were thinking about making changes or doing something new. Where does declutter come into the picture?
Well, as a KonMari Organizing Consultant, I’m speaking about a method called the KonMari Method, developed by Marie Kondo.
It is a brilliant, practical, reflective, and introspective method.
When decluttering, you basically go through your life, and you hone your decision-making skills. You learn to listen to your intuition and let yourself be guided by it. Basically, you guide yourself.
This is probably the best first step to do if you want to change something in your life. You will discover things about yourself that have been hidden or pushed away.
While decluttering, you won’t just end up with a tidy and organized home. You also end up with a clearer picture of what you want.
If you get exhausted just from the thought of decluttering and organizing your home, I would love to help. Contact me for a free “Get Tidy” consultation call!
Now, enjoy the last part of the summer, one day at a time.
