Let's put our thinking caps on!

Setzen wir unsere Denkmützen auf!

Everyone around me says the same thing. Time flies, but this year, I don't know where it went! I agree. I don't understand how it can go by so fast, maybe because of all the anxiety, hostility, and worry prominent in today's world? Everything becomes like a blur.

But I think we can change that. What if we pause and start to question what goes on. We might start trusting our own intuition.Let's put our thinking caps on.

If we want to make this world a better place, we need to start with ourselves. I love to think about the analogy of the flight attendant and the routine safety instructions. Every time we fly, we hear flight attendants sharing some variation of the oxygen mask rule:

"Should the cabin lose pressure, oxygen masks will drop from the overhead area. Please place the mask over your own mouth and nose before assisting others."

It's logical; if we are not ok ourselves, how can we then help others?

Maybe it sounds like a long shot

We all suffer differently from the circumstances in the world today. And I'm not going to pretend here that we can do one thing, and all the worries will be gone. Not at all.

But I do have one suggestion that can help a great deal to become more in tune with ourselves. And when we are aligned, we are more able to handle what comes our way assertively and firmly.

My suggestion is to start at home and declutter your house. What!? You might say. Yes, I hear you, and it might sound like a long shot. But it's actually not. It's a very effective way to become clear about what you like, and about what brings you joy. You also go through your past in a way that you probably wouldn't have done otherwise. Basically, you declutter your past as well.

You gain new insights about yourself, your space, and what you want moving forward.

This helps you to think more clearly, to question the status quo, to trust yourself, to help others, and to make this world good again. Every one of us is needed.

Declutter and organizing Coach

To really feel the difference and the magic of change, I suggest you do a declutter process with your whole house in as short a time frame as possible.

This is, of course, something you can do yourself. The task can be quite overwhelming, though, not just because of the number of items but also emotionally. Also it could be helpful to have accountability in order to stay on a schedule and finish the project in a timely way.

If you would like guidance and support, I am here. I work as a professional KonMari Organizing Consultant.

If you'd like to find out more about my service and discuss how I can support you in your tidying journey (in-person or virtually), please contact me here.

With that said, I wish you a wonderful Holiday season with family and friends. Lots of hugs, kisses, plant-based food and laughter.

And let us be strong in 2022. Come up with your own way to pause, put on your thinking cap and make a difference! What you think, feel and do matters! Don't ever forget that.
